      Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships

      We are pleased to offer 13 Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship awards for outstanding applicants who apply to full-time undergraduate studies.

      There are eleven 50% tuition fee scholarships and two 100% tuition scholarships.

      Scholarship details

      Value of award

      50% or 100% of tuition fees.

      Start date and duration

      September 2022 for the full duration of the degree programme.

      Application closing dates

      • 30th March 2022 – Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania, Turkey, USA
      • 27th April 2022 – India
      • 25th May 2022 - Malaysia

      Eligibility criteria

      50% tuition fees

      To be considered for the 50% scholarships applicants must:

      • be domiciled in one of one of the following countries: India, Kenya, Malaysia, South Africa, Tanzania, Turkey, USA
      • be assessed as international for fee purposes:
      • hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city centre campus for the 2022/23 academic year
      • already have or expect to receive a minimum of ABB at A level or equivalent

      Eligible candidates will be assessed according to evidence of academic ability, evidence of commitment to studies and quality of the application.

      100% tuition fees

      To be considered for the 100% scholarships applicants must:

      • be domiciled in one the following countries: USA, India
      • be assessed as international for fee purposes
      • hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city centre campus for the 2022/23 academic year
      • already have or expect to receive a minimum of ABB at A level or equivalent

      Eligible candidates will be assessed according to evidence of academic ability, evidence of commitment to studies and quality of the application.
